Somehow

Lead single from the upcoming album Old Bones to be released spring 2025

Freight is set to release the first single "Somehow" off their upcoming album, "Old Bones," Friday January 17

Recorded at Grass Alley in Chicago, Ill, Sunwood Studios in Trumansburg, NY and Electric Wilburland in Newfield, NY, “Somehow” is a powerhouse duet and an anthemic affirmation on the optimistic nature of love. Engineered by Jaime Gartelos, mastered by Dana Billings “Somehow” finds Freight dabbling in a modern sound that mines the best of Nashville polish via Midwest grit.

Armed with the art rock inclinations of Wilco, the rootsy swagger of Sturgill Simpson, the understated style of George Harrison and the glamour of Emmylou era Gram Parsons, “Somehow” adds to Freight’s growing body of work as both uniquely adventurous and firmly rooted. With its soaring pedal steel, syncopated acoustic guitars, and bombastic chorus, Freight makes a bold statement as a top tier original band in the wider Americana scene .
